Our Outreaches

Pregnancy Lounge outreach programs play a critical role in improving maternal and child health indices by empowering within rural communities

We intervene by extending the reach of health care through activities such as health education, basic health screening, and facilitating access to services.

OUR OUTREACHES; WHAT WE DO

Pregnancy Lounge's community health outreaches focus on the physical and mental well-being of pregnant women, new mothers and babies in a specific geographic region. We work to help ensure, improve and maintain this well-being and their health conditions.

OUR OUTREACHES; WHY WE DO THEM

The reduction of death to new mothers, pregnant women and babies within early days of delivery will stem from the choices made and lifestyle lived during pregnancy and days after delivery. We educate and inform them to help them make informed choices.

OUR OUTREACHES; HOW WE DO THEM

We strategize, we engage stake holders and community associations, we utilize our resources to promote birth preparedness through education and postnatal supports where they are needed.

Reaching out, saving lives...

At Pregnancy Lounge, our community health and patient outreach efforts are centered on meeting the social needs of pregnant women, new mothers and babies in rural and vulnerable urban areas. As antenatal and postnatal care become increasingly value-based, we are working to use our scarce resources in the most efficient way possible to meet the needs of chosen communities. This means putting a larger focus on community health, we are able to get professional care to the rural dwellers who largely still prefer traditional birth attendants for interventions for several reasons.

Reducing maternal and child mortality at these level will require participation from more than just the hospital or health system, so we have devised strategies over the years to work collaboratively and enlighten the rural population through programmes that carry corporate organizations, community associations and other stake holders along.

girl child enlightenment outreach

We know the importance of having the right kind of education about sex life and planning, and the need to do it early. So we engage adolescent girls on the changes happening to their body and the way to stay focused.
